Adam Gaiter vs Michael Cowens

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Alaska promoted show at Leeroy Seff Gym, Anchorage,  taking place on 02/08/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Adam Gaiter (9 - 9 - 1) who hails from Anchorage, USA and Michael Cowens(9 - 11(2) - 1) from Anchorage, USA.  Both Gaiter and Cowens weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Harvey Blair, and the three ringside judges are David Byers, Leon Chisolm and Leon Chisolm.  

Round 1: 

Cowens lands a jab.  
Gaiter switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Cowens pivots to the left of his opponent.  Gaiter finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Gaiter throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Cowens time to recover.  
Gaiter steps away from his opponent.  Cowens stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Gaiter lands a stinging jab.  
Cowens switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Cowens is on target with a cross.  
Cowens attempts to land a left hook, but Gaiter sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gaiter's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Gaiter's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Cowens's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Cowens steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Gaiter drives a jab into Cowens's body.  
Cowens quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gaiter snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.
