Boxers may have a default fanbase overseas depending on where they are from, or they may gain overseas following by fighting and winning in different countries.

The default fanbases are based on the populations of their countrymen in another country or region.
For example...
  • Irish fighters have 100% fanbase anywhere in the UK.
  • Cubans, do not have a high fanbase throughout the whole of the USA but do enjoy a lot of support in Florida.
  • Russians are not popular throughout the Ukraine, but can pull in the fans in areas with large Russian populations such as Donetsk
Fighters can develop fanbases outside their home country by winning fights in those countries against opponents with no more than 200 class less than their own.  Exciting fights result in a larger increase, and stoppages and television coverage also help.

To develop a foreign fanbase (i.e. full country) the fight must be 10 or 12 rounds
To develop a regional fanbase (just the region of the fight) the fight can be any number of rounds, but the more scheduled rounds, the better the increase.

Note that fighters with a high "home preference" stat will always prefer fighting at home, even if they have 100% fanbase in a different country
