Boxing Daily Report from the Bahamas National Finals 2022,  taking place on 11/03/2022 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are James Pevey (14 - 14(2)) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Scott Jervey(17 - 8) from Nassau, Bahamas.  

Round 1:

Pevey is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Jervey drives a solid jab into his opponents face.  
Pevey lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Jervey lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Pevey tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with an overhand right.  
Pevey tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Pevey steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right.  
Jervey sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Pevey hits home with a left hook.  
Jervey pivots to the right of his opponent and hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Jervey gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Jervey holds on to his opponent.  Pevey leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Jervey's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Jervey walks Pevey down, trapping him in the corner.  Jervey is on target with a forceful right hook to his opponents ribcage.  PEVEY IS DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Jervey!
