Fanuco Abarca vs Kiki Ronda

Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rica National Finals 2022,  taking place on 11/03/2022 from San Jose, Costa Rica:

The San Jose venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Fanuco Abarca (12 - 3) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Kiki Ronda(1 - 2) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Round 1: 

Ronda steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Ronda closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but Abarca slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.

Ronda advances into close range.  Abarca drives a right uppercut into Ronda's ribcage.  
Abarca switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Abarca lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Ronda throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ronda walks Abarca down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Ronda connects with a right hook.  
Abarca tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ronda lands a jab.  
Ronda attempts to land an overhand left, but Abarca blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.

Ronda gets on the inside.  Abarca hits home with a left hook.  
Abarca pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.
