Asif Ashour vs Atif Zein

Boxing Daily Report from the Egypt National Finals 2022,  taking place on 11/03/2022 from Alexandria, Egypt:

The Alexandria venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Asif Ashour (5 - 4) who hails from Port Said, Egypt and Atif Zein(19 - 10) from Alexandria, Egypt.  

Round 1: 

Ashour feints a cross, but Zein is not fooled and responds with a left hook.  
Zein is looking to close the distance and drives a stinging left uppercut into Ashour's body.

Ashour steps to the outside.  Ashour sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Ashour lands a cross.  
Zein walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Ashour throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Zein is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into Ashour's body.  
Ashour is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.
