Mike Harley vs Paul Wass

Boxing Daily Report from the Bahamas National Finals 2022,  taking place on 14/03/2022 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mike Harley (16(2) - 10) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Paul Wass(11 - 16) from Nassau, Bahamas.  

Round 1: 

Harley advances into close range.  Harley pivots from in front of his opponent.  Wass throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Wass pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left hook into Harley's body.  
Wass tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Harley gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Wass lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Harley lands a cross.  
Harley strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Wass attempts to land a right hook, but Harley sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Wass drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Harley lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Wass is looking to close the distance.  Wass sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Harley digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Harley is looking to keep his distance.  Harley sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.  
Harley gets on the inside.  Harley pivots from in front of his opponent.  Harley throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Wass time to recover.  
Wass throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Wass attempts to land a jab, but Harley blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Harley gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Wass lands with a stiff jab.  
Harley is looking to close the distance.  Harley pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Harley pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Harley digs in a left hook to Wass's body.  
Wass advances into close range and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Harley's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Wass is looking to close the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Wass digs in a right hook to Harley's ribcage.  
Harley finds the target with a hard jab.  
Wass is on target with a cross.  
Harley hits home with a cross.  
Wass sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Harley hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Harley tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Harley is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Harley pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Wass's liver.  
Wass digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Harley drives a left uppercut into Wass's liver.

Wass quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Harley snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Wass hits home with a cross.  
Harley tries to keep the action at long range.  Wass connects with a cross.  
Harley retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Wass accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Harley.  
Harley lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Harley lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Harley tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Harley throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Harley finds the target with a sharp jab.
