Boxing Daily Report from the Colombia National Finals 2022,  taking place on 14/03/2022 from Medellin, Colombia:

The Medellin venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Berto Sia (20 - 6) who hails from Medellin, Colombia and Lisandro Carro(14 - 11) from Bogota, Colombia.  

Round 1: 

Sia backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Carro tries to tag Sia on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Carro is on target with a stinging cross.  
Sia finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Sia is looking to keep his distance.  Carro tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut to Carro's body.  
Carro sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Sia snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  
Sia lands with a sharp jab.  
Carro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Carro throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sia switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
Sia tries to step out of his opponents range.  Carro connects with a sharp cross.  Carro tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sia's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
