Boxing Daily Report from the Greece National Finals 2022,  taking place on 26/03/2022 from Piraeus, Greece:

The Piraeus venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Pierro Tassi (21 - 5) who hails from Athens, Greece and Xanthus Metaxas(19 - 8) from Thessaloniki, Greece.  

Round 1: 

Tassi lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.

Tassi is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  
Metaxas closes the distance.  Metaxas pivots from in front of his opponent, but Tassi lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Metaxas finds the target with a jab.  
Tassi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Metaxas pivots to the right of his opponent.  Tassi attempts to land a right uppercut, but Metaxas slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Metaxas is on target with a left hook.  
Tassi is on target with a jab.  
Tassi switches the action to the outside.  Metaxas lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Tassi lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tassi tries to keep the action at long range.  Tassi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Metaxas steps inside.  Metaxas throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Tassi time to recover.
