Connor Laird vs Mark Maben

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2022,  taking place on 26/03/2022 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Connor Laird (21 - 6) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Mark Maben(7 - 8) from Kingston, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Maben hits home with an overhand right.  
Laird feints a left hook, but Maben does not fall for it and lands with a solid left hook to Laird's liver.

Maben pivots from in front of his opponent.  Maben tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.
