John Chanzu vs Razi Chepkok

Boxing Daily Report from the Kenya National Finals 2022,  taking place on 26/03/2022 from Athi River, Kenya:

The Athi River venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Chanzu (17 - 7) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Razi Chepkok(16 - 11) from Kisumu, Kenya.  

Round 1: 

Chepkok throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Chanzu time to recover.  
Chanzu steps inside and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Chepkok is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Chanzu is on target with a jab.  
Chepkok pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.

Chanzu attempts to land a right hook, but Chepkok blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Chanzu attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Chepkok's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Chepkok quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Chanzu lands a solid cross.  
Chanzu closes the distance and walks his opponent into a corner.  Chepkok lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Chepkok lands a stinging cross.  
Chanzu gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to Chepkok's body.  Chanzu tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Chanzu hits home with a sharp left uppercut.

Chanzu advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Chepkok lands with a stinging jab.  
Chanzu lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Chepkok lands a cross.  
Chanzu steps inside.  Chepkok lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Chepkok pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a sharp cross.
