Boxing Daily Report from the Kenya National Finals 2022,  taking place on 29/03/2022 from Athi River, Kenya:

The Athi River venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Connor Mbiyu (22 - 5) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Quintavius Mugane(20 - 9) from Nairobi, Kenya.

Mbiyu throws a right hook, but Mugane holds on to his opponent.  Mugane is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Mugane's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mugane lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mugane gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Mbiyu in a corner.  Mugane lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Mugane sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Mbiyu digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mbiyu tries to land a jab, but Mugane dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mbiyu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a solid jab.

Mugane pivots to the side of his opponent and whips in a nasty right hook to Mbiyu's ribs.  MBIYU IS DOWN!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Mugane!
