Boxing Daily Report from the Ghana National Finals 2022,  taking place on 01/04/2022 from Takoradi, Ghana:

The Takoradi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Greg Iddrisu (24 - 6) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Roshaun Bedwei(18 - 6) from Kumasi, Ghana.  

Round 1: 

Iddrisu pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Bedwei quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bedwei throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Bedwei walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Bedwei lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Bedwei throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bedwei connects with a firm cross.

Bedwei feints a right hook, and then digs in a right uppercut to Iddrisu's body.  
Iddrisu switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Iddrisu lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Iddrisu's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
