Arran Mau vs Harvey Christopher

Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2022,  taking place on 11/04/2022 from Christchurch, New Zealand:

The Christchurch venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Arran Mau (15 - 14) who hails from Waitakere, New Zealand and Harvey Christopher(2 - 3) from Wellington, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Mau forces Christopher to back into the ropes.  Mau lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Mau closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mau lands a cross.  
Mau steps inside and drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.

Mau quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Christopher goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Mau to the neutral corner.  He warns Christopher to stop fouling or he'll lose a point.  
Mau finds the target with a hard jab.  
Mau hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Mau lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mau hits home with a cross.  
Mau retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Christopher tries to tag Mau on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Christopher lands a stinging cross to Mau's body.  
Mau steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Mau hits home with a cross.  
Mau lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Christopher steps to the outside.  Mau is on target with an overhand right.  
Mau hits home with a cross.
