Odion Lekwot vs Mudashiru Atuma

Boxing Daily Report from the Nigeria National Finals 2022,  taking place on 11/04/2022 from Warri, Nigeria:

The Warri venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Odion Lekwot (19 - 7) who hails from Kano, Nigeria and Mudashiru Atuma(9 - 15) from Osogbo, Nigeria.  

Round 1: 

Lekwot switches the action to the outside.  Atuma is on target with a jab.  
Lekwot tries to keep the action at long range.  Atuma is on target with a cross.  
Atuma advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Atuma manouvers Lekwot into the corner.  Atuma lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Lekwot throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Atuma lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.

Atuma gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Lekwot on the ropes.  Lekwot throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Atuma lands a right uppercut to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  
Atuma is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Atuma manouvers Lekwot into a neutral corner.  Lekwot attempts to land a left hook, but Atuma blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Atuma lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Atuma throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Lekwot is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Atuma sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Atuma steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Atuma is on target with a right hook.  
Atuma closes the distance.  Lekwot is on target with a right uppercut.  
Atuma is looking to close the distance and manages to force Lekwot onto the ropes.  Atuma lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Atuma tries to land a left hook, but Lekwot slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.
