Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2022,  taking place on 14/04/2022 from Christchurch, New Zealand:

The Christchurch venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Chris Shera (4 - 3) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Chris Weatherly(12(1) - 16) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Shera lands a cross.  
Shera finds the target with a jab.  
Shera tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with an overhand right.  
Shera is on target with a jab.  
Shera is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  Shera attempts to land a jab, but Weatherly sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Shera snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.

Weatherly closes the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Shera blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Weatherly lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Weatherly ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Weatherly pushes his forearm into Shera's face.  The ref breaks Weatherly's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Weatherly lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Shera is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a solid jab.  
Shera hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Shera switches the action to the outside and lands with a solid jab.  
Shera is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

Weatherly advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Shera feints a right hook, and then lands a cross.  
Weatherly hits home with a left hook.  
Shera connects with a left uppercut.  
Weatherly is on target with a right hook to Shera's body.  
Shera pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Weatherly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.
