Bryan Stant vs John Stackpoole

Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2022,  taking place on 17/04/2022 from Christchurch, New Zealand:

The Christchurch venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Bryan Stant (27 - 3) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and John Stackpoole(19 - 9) from Auckland, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Stackpoole tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a solid jab.  
Stant lands a jab.  Stant tries to land an overhand right, but Stackpoole slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.

Stant is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Stant drives a jab into Stackpoole's body.  
Stant hits home with a hard jab.  
Stant tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Stackpoole advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Stackpoole pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Stackpoole tries to keep the action at long range.  Stant attempts to land a cross, but Stackpoole blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.
