Sergei Djabarov vs Samir Sami

Boxing Daily Report from the Tajikistan National Finals 2022,  taking place on 26/04/2022 from Bokhtar, Tajikistan:

The Bokhtar venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sergei Djabarov (9(2) - 11) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Samir Sami(2 - 4) from Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  

Round 1: 

Sami lands with a solid jab.  
Sami steps away from his opponent.  Djabarov lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Djabarov walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Sami throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Sami hits home with a stiff jab.  
Djabarov is looking to close the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Djabarov advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Djabarov closes the distance.  Djabarov sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Djabarov throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sami pivots to the side of his opponent, but Djabarov is on target with a jab.

Sami throws a right hook, but Djabarov ties up his opponent.  Sami pushes his forearm into Djabarov's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sami to stop fouling.  
Sami lands a cross.
