Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2022,  taking place on 29/04/2022 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gethin Matongo (26 - 7) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Leon Matonga(26 - 7) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  

Round 1: 

Matonga feints a jab, but Matongo ignores the feint and lands with a left hook to Matonga's body.

Matongo switches the action to the outside and is on target with a stiff jab.

Matonga forces Matongo to back into the ropes.  Matonga lands a ramrod jab.  
Matonga sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Matonga digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.
