Blerim Ersin vs Egzon Metarapi

Boxing Daily Report from the Albania National Finals 2023,  taking place on 11/03/2023 from Tirana, Albania:

The Tirana venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Blerim Ersin (8 - 9) who hails from Tirana, Albania and Egzon Metarapi(22 - 13) from Durres, Albania.  

Round 1: 

Ersin is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ersin closes the distance.  Metarapi tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Metarapi's liver.  
Ersin advances into close range.  Metarapi tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Metarapi switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ersin advances into close range.  Metarapi is on target with a firm left hook.  
Ersin connects with a left hook.  
Metarapi pivots to the right of his opponent, but Ersin lands a cross.  
Ersin steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Ersin closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Metarapi digs in a right uppercut to Ersin's ribs.

Metarapi throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Ersin's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
