Dave Evan vs Jack Bivins

Boxing Daily Report from the Bahamas National Finals 2023,  taking place on 11/03/2023 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dave Evan (15 - 6) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Jack Bivins(13 - 18) from Nassau, Bahamas.  

Round 1: 

Evan is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Bivins throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Evan lands a left hook.  
Evan lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Evan lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bivins steps inside.  Evan lands a left hook.  
Evan feints a jab, and then hits home with an overhand right.  
Bivins forces Evan to retreat onto the ropes.  Bivins attempts to land a right hook, but Evan slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Evan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.

Evan steps to the outside.  Bivins is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Bivins manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Evan lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bivins tries to land a left uppercut, but Evan blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Evan throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Evan's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Bivins advances into close range and forces Evan to retreat into a corner.  Bivins lands a right hook.  
Evan tries to keep the action at long range and connects with an overhand right.  
Evan is looking to keep his distance and lands a stiff jab.  
Bivins gets on the inside and forces Evan to retreat onto the ropes.  Evan lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Bivins is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Evan digs in a right hook to Bivins's body.  
Bivins steps inside and digs in a left hook to Evan's ribs.  
Evan finds the target with a jab.  
Evan is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a cross.
