Antwan Ross vs Justin Gemmell

Boxing Daily Report from the Bahamas National Finals 2023,  taking place on 14/03/2023 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Antwan Ross (17(2) - 9) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Justin Gemmell(8 - 6) from Nassau, Bahamas.  

Round 1: 

Ross advances into close range.  Ross retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Gemmell tries to tag Ross on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Gemmell sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gemmell tries to land a right hook, but Ross blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.

Ross attempts to land a jab, but Gemmell blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gemmell sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Ross digs in a left hook to Gemmell's liver.  
Gemmell attempts to land a left uppercut, but Ross slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gemmell pivots to the side of his opponent.  Gemmell tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gemmell tries to land a cross, but Ross slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gemmell pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Gemmell pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Ross advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Gemmell sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Ross is on target with a left hook.  
Gemmell sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Ross lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gemmell steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  Gemmell throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Gemmell's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ross's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Ross lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.
