Alejandro Interiano vs Manuel Fuerte

Boxing Daily Report from the Cuba National Finals 2023,  taking place on 14/03/2023 from Santa Clara, Cuba:

The Santa Clara venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alejandro Interiano (6 - 11) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Manuel Fuerte(22 - 15) from Havana, Cuba.  

Round 1:

Fuerte steps inside and is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Interiano attempts to land a jab, but Fuerte slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Fuerte gets on the inside and manages to force Interiano into the red corner.  Fuerte hits home with a left uppercut.  
Fuerte pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a sharp jab.  
Interiano steps away from his opponent.  Interiano sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Fuerte closes the distance.  Fuerte pivots to the right of his opponent, but Interiano connects with a left hook.
