Bruce Buchannan vs Jake Mattison

Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2023,  taking place on 26/03/2023 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Bruce Buchannan (5 - 12) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Jake Mattison(2 - 3) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Buchannan tries to land a jab, but Mattison parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Buchannan's ribs.  
Buchannan lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Buchannan feints a left hook, and then lands a solid jab.  
Buchannan connects with an overhand right.

Buchannan lands two straights to the body, and one to the head.  
Mattison lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Buchannan attempts to land a jab, but Mattison blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Buchannan connects with a stinging overhand left.  
Mattison advances into close range and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Mattison pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.
