Bradley Sang vs Robert Gerrie

Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2023,  taking place on 29/03/2023 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Bradley Sang (15 - 5) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Robert Gerrie(12 - 6) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Sang is on target with a stiff jab.  
Gerrie steps inside and walks Sang down, trapping him on the ropes.  Gerrie throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gerrie advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gerrie forces Sang to back into the ropes.  Gerrie hits home with a left hook.  Gerrie throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gerrie digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.

Sang tries to step out of his opponents range.  Gerrie lands a jab.  
Sang quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Gerrie is on target with a right hook.  
Sang sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Gerrie is on target with a cross.  
Gerrie is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Gerrie throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Sang time to recover.  
Sang tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a sharp cross.  
Sang lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Sang connects with a cross.  
Sang pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Sang steps away from his opponent and hits home with a stiff jab.  
Gerrie tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Sang throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sang's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Sang tries to keep the action at long range.  Sang sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Gerrie lands a jab.
