Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2023,  taking place on 29/03/2023 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Arthur Romans (10 - 6) who hails from Linden, Guyana and Gethin Blacketer(29 - 8) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Romans lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Blacketer closes the distance and lands a left hook.

Blacketer drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Blacketer manouvers Romans onto the ropes.  Blacketer quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Romans attempts to land a left hook, but Blacketer sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Romans tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Blacketer steps to the outside.  Romans connects with a cross.
