Barry Eccles vs Paul Elliot

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2023,  taking place on 29/03/2023 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Barry Eccles (13 - 10) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Paul Elliot(22 - 10) from Spanish Town, Jamaica.

Elliot sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a sharp jab.  
Eccles hits home with a hard jab.  
Elliot steps away from his opponent and hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Elliot pivots from in front of his opponent, but Eccles lands with a stiff jab.  
Eccles attempts to land a jab, but Elliot blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Elliot walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Elliot pivots to the left of his opponent, but Eccles is on target with a jab.  
Eccles steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Elliot tries to land a jab, but Eccles blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Eccles is looking to close the distance and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Eccles tries to step out of his opponents range.  Eccles sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Elliot hits home with a stinging cross.  Elliot throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Eccles time to recover.

Eccles gets on the inside.  Elliot attempts to land a right hook, but Eccles dodges the shot and counters with a left hook to Elliot's liver.  
Eccles tries to keep the action at long range.  Elliot lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Eccles advances into close range.  Elliot hits home with a right hook.  
Eccles drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
Elliot hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Elliot lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Eccles throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Elliot feints a jab, tricking Eccles into launching a cross counter.  Elliot springs the trap and counters with  a right hook.
