Boxing Daily Report from the Ghana National Finals 2023,  taking place on 01/04/2023 from Accra, Ghana:

The Accra venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joshua Mensah (33(2) - 6) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Mark Kwabi(29 - 5) from Kumasi, Ghana.  

Round 1: 

Kwabi is on target with a jab.

Kwabi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a solid cross.  
Mensah lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Kwabi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands with a sharp jab.  
Mensah advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Mensah holds on to his opponent.  Kwabi tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mensah's kidney. Mensah pushes his forearm into Kwabi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mensah.  
Mensah is on target with a cross.  
Mensah drives a left hook into Kwabi's liver.  
Mensah attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Kwabi's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
