Angel Mancha vs Gervasio Vallejo

Boxing Daily Report from the Chile National Finals 2024,  taking place on 11/03/2024 from Puente Alto, Chile:

The Puente Alto venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Angel Mancha (8 - 6) who hails from Las Condes, Chile and Gervasio Vallejo(9 - 15) from Antofagasta, Chile.  

Round 1: 

Mancha is on target with a sharp cross.  
Mancha sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Vallejo connects with a cross.  
Vallejo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Vallejo walks Mancha down, trapping him in a corner.  Mancha throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mancha throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Vallejo time to recover.  
Vallejo lands a spiteful jab.  
Vallejo advances into close range and digs in a left hook to Mancha's ribs.  
Mancha attempts to land a left hook, but Vallejo blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mancha tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Vallejo steps inside.  Mancha digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Vallejo is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  
Mancha tries to land a jab, but Vallejo dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Vallejo lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a jab to the head.  
Mancha finds the target with a jab.  
Mancha switches the action to the outside.  Mancha feints a jab, and then hits home with a sharp overhand right.  
Vallejo is on target with a solid jab.
