Alano Villafranca vs Jose Pan

Boxing Daily Report from the Ecuador National Finals 2024,  taking place on 17/03/2024 from Manta, Ecuador:

The Manta venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alano Villafranca (6 - 4) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Jose Pan(34 - 11) from Quito, Ecuador.  

Round 1: 

Pan steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Pan throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pan circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Villafranca strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Villafranca tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pan lands with a solid jab.  
Pan is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Villafranca steps to the outside.  Pan lands a jab.  
Pan is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a cross.  Pan tries to land a jab, but Villafranca parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pan digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Villafranca is looking to keep his distance.  Villafranca quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Villafranca lands a sharp jab.  
Pan is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.
