Quiqui Sanchez vs Rodrigo Tallon

Boxing Daily Report from the Ecuador National Finals 2024,  taking place on 17/03/2024 from Manta, Ecuador:

The Manta venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Quiqui Sanchez (6 - 4) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Rodrigo Tallon(5 - 15(5)) from Manta, Ecuador.  

Round 1: 

Tallon connects with a solid right uppercut.  Tallon throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Tallon switches the action to the outside.  Sanchez hits home with a firm cross.  
Tallon closes the distance.  Tallon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Sanchez lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Tallon lands a cross.  
Tallon snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Sanchez is looking to close the distance.  Sanchez pivots to the left of his opponent.  Tallon throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Sanchez switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Sanchez steps inside.  Sanchez goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Tallon's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Tallon tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Tallon attempts to land a jab, but Sanchez slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Tallon's body.  
Sanchez backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Tallon tries to tag Sanchez on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Tallon lands a left uppercut.  
Tallon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Tallon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Tallon throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Tallon pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.

Sanchez digs in a sharp right uppercut to Tallon's body.  
Tallon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Tallon throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Sanchez to the neutral corner.  He warns Tallon to stop fouling or he'll lose a point.  
Tallon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tallon lands a cross.  Tallon tries to land a right uppercut, but Sanchez sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sanchez switches the action to the outside.  Tallon lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Sanchez advances into close range.  Tallon sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Sanchez lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sanchez lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Tallon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but  attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Tallon time to recover.

Tallon hits home with a right hook.

Tallon lands with a solid jab.  
Tallon is on target with a cross.  
Tallon lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.
