Anton Marjamaa vs Eevertti Marjo

Boxing Daily Report from the Finland National Finals 2024,  taking place on 26/03/2024 from Tampere, Finland:

The Tampere venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Anton Marjamaa (2 - 7) who hails from Helsinki, Finland and Eevertti Marjo(56 - 6) from Vantaa, Finland.  

Round 1: 

Marjo steps inside.  Marjo pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Marjo digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Marjo manages to force Marjamaa into the blue corner.  Marjamaa connects with a left uppercut.

Marjamaa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Marjo is on target with a cross.  
Marjamaa pivots to the right of his opponent, but Marjo lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Marjo closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to Marjamaa's ribs.  
Marjo closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Marjo advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut to Marjamaa's liver.  
Marjo lands a right hook.  
Marjamaa tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Marjamaa's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Marjo's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
