Hiroki Tamura vs Nori Kawai

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan National Finals 2024,  taking place on 26/03/2024 from Hakodate, Japan:

The Hakodate venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Hiroki Tamura (16(2) - 12) who hails from Saitama, Japan and Nori Kawai(6 - 9) from Saitama, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Kawai sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Tamura lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Tamura strikes his opponents body with a jab.

Tamura digs in a right uppercut to Kawai's ribs.  Tamura throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kawai pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.
