Caseareo Kallas vs Pentheus Tomaras

Boxing Daily Report from the Greece National Finals 2024,  taking place on 01/04/2024 from Peristeri, Greece:

The Peristeri venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Caseareo Kallas (19 - 22) who hails from Athens, Greece and Pentheus Tomaras(34 - 17) from Athens, Greece.  

Round 1: 

Tomaras steps inside.  Tomaras leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Kallas is whaling away with hooks, but Tomaras keeps his defence tight.  
Kallas lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Tomaras closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Tomaras is looking to keep his distance and strikes his opponents body with a jab.

Kallas pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Kallas gets on the inside.  Kallas pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Kallas hits home with a left uppercut.  
Tomaras lands a stinging jab.  
Tomaras steps inside.  Kallas pivots to the side of his opponent, but Tomaras hits home with a left hook.  
Kallas tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Kallas sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Tomaras lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Tomaras gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Kallas blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.

Tomaras steps inside and lands a stinging right hook.  
Kallas attempts to land a left uppercut, but Tomaras sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Tomaras closes the distance and drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Kallas sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Tomaras lands a stinging jab.  
Kallas steps away from his opponent.  Tomaras lands an overhand right.  
Tomaras steps inside.  Kallas lands a right hook.  
Kallas tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Tomaras digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Kallas throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.

Kallas gets on the inside.  Kallas sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kallas throws a left hook, but Tomaras holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Kallas pushes his forearm into Tomaras's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kallas about fouling.  
Kallas is on target with an overhand right.  Kallas throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tomaras tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kallas is on target with a solid left uppercut.
