Bryan Stant vs Ian Mason

Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2024,  taking place on 11/04/2024 from Christchurch, New Zealand:

The Christchurch venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Bryan Stant (42 - 12(1)) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Ian Mason(5 - 13) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Stant lands a jab to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Mason steps inside and tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Mason advances into close range.  Stant lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Stant tries to keep the action at long range.  Stant feints a cross, and then lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Mason is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mason steps inside.  Stant connects with a left hook.
