Dabney Barro vs Mortimer Seye

Boxing Daily Report from the Senegal National Finals 2024,  taking place on 26/04/2024 from Dakar, Senegal:

The Dakar venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dabney Barro (1 - 6) who hails from Pikine, Senegal and Mortimer Seye(4 - 15) from Dakar, Senegal.  

Round 1: 

Seye manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Barro connects with a left hook.  
Seye walks Barro down, trapping him in the red corner.  Barro attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Seye time to recover.  
Seye connects with a solid left hook.  
Barro is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Seye connects with a cross.

Seye advances into close range.  Seye sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Barro hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  
Seye is on target with a right hook.

Seye is looking to close the distance and forces Barro to back into a corner.  Barro tries to land a left hook, but Seye sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Seye drives a right uppercut into Barro's body.  
Barro is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Seye gets on the inside and connects with a left uppercut.  
Seye attempts to land a jab, but Barro slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Barro tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Barro hits home with a stinging overhand right.
