Hyun-soo Kwon vs Jae-sung Jeon

Boxing Daily Report from the South Korea National Finals 2024,  taking place on 26/04/2024 from Chungju, South Korea:

The Chungju venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Hyun-soo Kwon (15(1) - 3) who hails from Seoul, South Korea and Jae-sung Jeon(9(2) - 15) from Goyang, South Korea.  

Round 1: 

Jeon lands a cross.  
Jeon pivots to the side of his opponent, but Kwon strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Jeon advances into close range.  Kwon lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Jeon closes the distance and digs in a solid left hook to Kwon's body.  
Kwon lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kwon lands a jab.  Kwon throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Kwon lands a right hook.  
Kwon lands with a stiff jab.  
Jeon drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Kwon tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Jeon hits home with an overhand right.

Kwon switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left.

Kwon steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Jeon tries to tag Kwon on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Jeon connects with a left hook.  
Jeon steps inside and is on target with a stinging right uppercut to Kwon's body.  
Jeon connects with a left uppercut.  
Kwon lands a ramrod jab.  
Jeon throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Jeon's ribs.  
Kwon drives a jab into Jeon's body.  
Jeon closes the distance.  Kwon connects with a left hook.  
Jeon is on target with a cross.
