Diego Tomes vs Felippe Altamirano

Boxing Daily Report from the Uruguay National Finals 2024,  taking place on 26/04/2024 from Montevideo, Uruguay:

The Montevideo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Tomes (5 - 5) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Felippe Altamirano(26 - 13) from Montevideo, Uruguay.

Tomes hits home with a cross.  Tomes tries to land an overhand right, but Altamirano slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Altamirano steps inside and connects with a stinging left uppercut.  Altamirano throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.
