Dave Johnstone vs John Vetere

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/09/2024 from Philadelphia, USA:

The Philadelphia venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dave Johnstone (2 - 9) who hails from St. Petersburg, USA and John Vetere(6 - 12) from Philadelphia, USA.  

Round 1: 

Vetere is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Johnstone sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Vetere pivots from in front of his opponent.  Vetere throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Vetere's ribs.  
Vetere gets on the inside.  Vetere pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Vetere gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Vetere sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Johnstone tries to land a left uppercut, but Vetere blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Vetere sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Vetere steps inside and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Vetere connects with a cross.
