Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 12/12/2024 from Dublin, Ireland:

The Dublin venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sam Farrell (4 - 8) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Leon McAlexander(0 - 7(2)) from Dublin, Ireland.  

Round 1: 

McAlexander gets on the inside.  Farrell lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
McAlexander steps inside.  Farrell lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
McAlexander lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
McAlexander is on target with a right hook.

Farrell tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.  
Farrell throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives McAlexander time to recover.  
McAlexander steps inside.  Farrell is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Farrell gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
McAlexander lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  McAlexander attempts to land a left uppercut, but Farrell sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
McAlexander connects with a cross.  
Farrell closes the distance.  McAlexander is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Farrell connects with a firm right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...McAlexander's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Farrell is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Farrell circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  McAlexander tries to land a cross, but Farrell slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Farrell sidesteps to the right of his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
McAlexander closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McAlexander lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
McAlexander closes the distance and throws a right hook, but Farrell clinches his opponent.  Farrell leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Farrell switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
McAlexander connects with a solid right hook.  
Farrell hits home with a right hook.  
McAlexander throws a left uppercut, but Farrell ties up his opponent.  McAlexander is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
