Gregory Kellis vs Castor Comis

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/01/2025 from Thessaloniki, Greece:

The Thessaloniki venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gregory Kellis (3 - 2) who hails from Heraklion, Greece and Castor Comis(5 - 6) from Thessaloniki, Greece.  

Round 1: 

Comis attempts to land a cross, but Kellis slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Comis advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.

Kellis is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Comis switches the action to the outside.  Kellis lands a jab.  Kellis throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Comis time to recover.

Comis gets on the inside and digs in a solid left hook to Kellis's body.  Comis attempts to land a left hook, but Kellis dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kellis attempts to land a cross, but Comis sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Comis forces Kellis to retreat into the corner.  Kellis lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Comis steps inside.  Comis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Comis sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kellis tries to land a right uppercut, but Comis slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kellis feints a left hook, and then tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Comis is on target with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Comis's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
