Toxeus Mellis vs Kosmosr Raptis

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 04/03/2025 from Athens, Greece:

The Athens venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Toxeus Mellis (9 - 6) who hails from Heraklion, Greece and Kosmosr Raptis(16 - 8) from Athens, Greece.  

Round 1: 

Raptis drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
Raptis manouvers Mellis onto the ropes.  Raptis pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Raptis is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Raptis is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Mellis tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Raptis steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Raptis lands a firm left hook.  
Raptis steps away from his opponent and hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Raptis feints a right hook, and then lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Raptis connects with a left uppercut.  
Raptis is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  
Mellis lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mellis steps inside.  Mellis sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Raptis is on target with a left hook.  
Raptis connects with a right hook.  
Mellis pivots from in front of his opponent, but Raptis finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Raptis is on target with a jab.  
Raptis lands a jab.

Mellis gets on the inside.  Raptis lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Mellis is looking to close the distance.  Mellis pivots from in front of his opponent, but Raptis drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Raptis hits the target with a hard jab.  Raptis throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Raptis lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a cross to the body.  
Raptis lands a straight 1 - 2.  Raptis throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Raptis steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mellis manouvers Raptis into a corner.  Raptis is on target with a firm right hook.  
Mellis tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mellis closes the distance.  Mellis pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Mellis gets on the inside.  Mellis pivots to the right of his opponent.  Raptis lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Raptis ties up his opponent.  Raptis pushes his forearm into Mellis's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Raptis is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Raptis crashes a nasty left hook to Mellis's liver.  MELLIS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  It looks like Mellis has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Raptis finds the target with a hard jab.  
Mellis steps inside.  Raptis lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mellis almost instantly recovers. 
Raptis is looking to keep his distance and lands a spiteful jab.
