Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rica National Finals 2025,  taking place on 14/03/2025 from San Jose, Costa Rica:

The San Jose venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Angel Alvear (17 - 14) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Ponce Bazan(12(1) - 11) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Round 1: 

Bazan sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Alvear connects with a cross.  
Alvear tries to step out of his opponents range.  Alvear lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Bazan connects with a solid overhand left.
