Floyd Burja vs Runako Amodako

Boxing Daily Report from the Ghana National Finals 2025,  taking place on 26/03/2025 from Kumasi, Ghana:

The Kumasi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Floyd Burja (34(1) - 6) who hails from Takoradi, Ghana and Runako Amodako(4 - 10) from Kumasi, Ghana.  

Round 1: 

Burja is looking to close the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Burja drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Amodako is on target with an overhand right.  
Amodako hits home with a left hook.  
Burja lands a jab to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Burja forces Amodako to retreat onto the ropes.  Burja pivots to the right of his opponent.  Amodako attempts to land a left hook, but Burja blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.

Burja pivots to the left of his opponent.  Amodako throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Burja closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Amodako lands a jab.  
Burja steps inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Burja lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Amodako cuts off the ring, trapping Burja on the ropes.  Burja finds the target with a jab.  
Burja tries to step out of his opponents range.  Amodako connects with a cross.  
Burja sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Burja lands a jab.  
Burja lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Amodako attempts to land a cross, but Burja blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Burja lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Amodako feints a left hook, but Burja ignores the feint and is on target with a sharp right uppercut.  
Amodako advances into close range and walks Burja down, trapping him in the red corner.  Burja lands two right hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Burja switches the action to the outside.  Amodako is on target with a firm cross.  
Amodako manages to force Burja onto the ropes.  Amodako lands with a stinging jab.
