Rob Whitted vs Sam Myron

Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2025,  taking place on 26/03/2025 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rob Whitted (26 - 23) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Sam Myron(6 - 20) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Whitted lands a firm cross.  
Whitted steps to the outside.  Myron lands a cross.  
Myron tries to land an overhand left, but Whitted dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Whitted connects with a firm cross.  
Whitted is on target with an overhand right.  
Myron gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Whitted lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Whitted connects with a left uppercut.  
Myron closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Whitted is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Whitted sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Myron finds the target with a jab.  Myron throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Myron steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Whitted ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Myron pushes his forearm into Whitted's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Myron to stop fouling.  
Whitted is looking to keep his distance and lands with a stiff jab.  
Whitted drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Myron tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Myron is looking to close the distance.  Whitted throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Whitted lands a cross.  
Whitted sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Myron steps inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Myron hits home with a left hook.  Whitted holds on to his opponent.  Myron tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Whitted's kidney. 
Whitted is looking to keep his distance and lands with a solid jab.  
Myron sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Myron throws a right hook, but Whitted ties up his opponent.  Myron leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Whitted is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Whitted feints a left, and then lands a jab, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.
