Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2025,  taking place on 26/03/2025 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Billy Suit (8(1) - 17) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Chris Pattie(6 - 13) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Suit tries to keep the action at long range.  Suit feints a cross, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Pattie attempts to land a jab, but Suit dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pattie is on target with a cross.  
Suit is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Suit steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.

Pattie hits home with a left hook.  
Suit feints a cross, fooling Pattie into launching a cross counter.  Suit avoids the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Suit steps to the outside and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Suit pivots to the side of his opponent, but Pattie lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Suit's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.  Pattie's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!
