Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2025,  taking place on 29/03/2025 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Glynn Banks (5 - 4) who hails from New Amsterdam, Guyana and Ian Lenn(9(2) - 10) from Linden, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Banks lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Banks is on target with a cross.

Lenn drives a firm right hook into Banks's body.  
Lenn lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Banks connects with a cross.  
Banks is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a stiff jab.  
Lenn advances into close range.  Banks throws a right hook, but Lenn ties up his opponent.  Lenn is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Banks pushes his forearm into Lenn's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lenn manouvers Banks into the blue corner.  Lenn lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lenn pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Lenn gets on the inside.  Banks throws a right uppercut, but Lenn ties up his opponent.  Banks pushes his forearm into Lenn's face.  The referee warns Banks and breaks the clinch.  
Lenn pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents liver.
