Grant Fignon vs Mardian Barra

Boxing Daily Report from the Haiti National Finals 2025,  taking place on 29/03/2025 from Delmas, Haiti:

The Delmas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Grant Fignon (9 - 8) who hails from Delmas, Haiti and Mardian Barra(6 - 4) from Petionville, Haiti.  

Round 1: 

Barra feints a cross and triggers a right uppercut counter from Fignon.  Barra is waiting for the shot and counters with a cross.  
Barra manouvers Fignon onto the ropes.  Barra sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.

Barra forces Fignon to retreat into the corner.  Barra is on target with a cross.  
Fignon gets on the inside.  Fignon pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Fignon attempts to land a right uppercut, but Barra parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Barra is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross.  
Barra switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents body.
