Kyle Green vs Ricky Porterfield

Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2025,  taking place on 01/04/2025 from Linden, Guyana:

The Linden venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kyle Green (24 - 14) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Ricky Porterfield(18 - 11) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Porterfield snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  
Porterfield drives a right hook into Green's body.  
Green is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.  
Green tries to keep the action at long range.  Green sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Porterfield lands a right uppercut.  Porterfield tries to land a left hook, but Green blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Porterfield advances into close range.  Green lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Green is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Porterfield quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Green is on target with a left hook.

Green steps away from his opponent.  Porterfield lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Green lands a solid jab.  
Porterfield sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Green lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Green finds the target with a jab.  
Green tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Porterfield is on target with a cross.  
Porterfield advances into close range.  Green is on target with a right hook.  
Green steps away from his opponent.  Porterfield attempts to land a cross, but Green sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Green drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Porterfield hits home with an overhand left.
