Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2025,  taking place on 01/04/2025 from New Kingston, Jamaica:

The New Kingston venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Cody Swapp (13 - 9) who hails from Spanish Town, Jamaica and Mark Hoggan(13 - 18) from New Kingston, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Hoggan closes the distance.  Swapp hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Hoggan drives a right hook into Swapp's body.  
Swapp lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Hoggan digs in a left uppercut to Swapp's liver.

Hoggan pivots from in front of his opponent.  Hoggan goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Swapp's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
