Boris Siguldietis vs Georgiy Meisters

Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia National Finals 2025,  taking place on 14/04/2025 from Riga, Latvia:

The Riga venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Boris Siguldietis (6 - 4) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Georgiy Meisters(15 - 14) from Riga, Latvia.  

Round 1: 

Meisters closes the distance.  Meisters sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Meisters sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Meisters is looking to close the distance and manages to force Siguldietis onto the ropes.  Siguldietis tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.
